A Round of Golf at Legendary Superior National

Caribou Highlands is the perfect place to stay for a golf getaway on the North Shore. The resort is beside one of Minnesota’s best courses, Superior National. Come play “the Cadillac of Minnesota Golf Courses” and then relax and restore at Caribou Highlands.

The world-class course underwent a $4.6 million renovation. The layout rolls through the Poplar River Valley and gives golfers the chance to sightsee while they swing their clubs through three distinct nine-hole setups. The gorgeous setting is tucked between the Sawtooth Mountains and Lake Superior, and pairs untamed beauty with unparalleled play among inspiring Northwoods landscapes.

After your round, head back to the Highlands to restore for another day of play.

Back on property, you can relax and recount your game—recount the good shots and the bad and strategize for the next day’s round at Moguls Grille and Tap Room.

Dog-Friendly Vacation Reviews

I was recommended East Bay Suites by a friend, so I had decent expectations coming in. Having said that, those expectations were met and exceeded. I was most impressed with the fact that EB Suites takes being “dog friendly” seriously and not just a token marketing checkmark. Dogbag stations, muddy paw rags, “pooch package” offering, and a supply of pet sheets for furniture raise the bar for us when comparing future lodging anywhere! Staff was awesome and very attentive.

– TripAdvisor Review for East Bay Suites

Great view, nice log cabin themed lakeside rentals, dog friendly and a very accommodating staff.

– Google Review for Grand Superior Lodge

My wife and I loved Caribou Highlands, but not as much as our dog did!
We were in a dog-friendly condo, and spent a lot of time enjoying area hiking trails. All three of us will be back soon.
